How to Connect

  • OAuth (One-Click)
  • API Key
  • Database
  • Stripe (Dual Auth)
Most services use OAuth 2.0 - the most secure method that doesn’t expose your credentials to Doe.

What You’ll Need

  • Admin/owner access to the service
  • Popups enabled for doe.so

Connection Steps

1. Start the connection
  • Settings → Integrations
  • Click Connect on your desired service
  • Authorization popup opens (600x700px)
2. Grant permission
  • Log in to the service (if not already)
  • Review requested permissions
  • Click Authorize or Allow
3. Done
  • Popup closes automatically
  • Service shows ACTIVE status
  • Start asking questions immediately

Why OAuth?

  • Credentials never exposed to Doe
  • Automatic token refresh
  • Easy to revoke from service settings
  • Enterprise-grade security
Popup blocked? Allow popups for doe.so in browser settings, then retry.

Managing Connections

View All Connections: Settings → Integrations → Enabled Connectors Each connection shows a status badge:
ACTIVEConnection working normally
CONNECTINGConnection in progress
FAILEDNeeds reconnection
EXPIREDToken expired, click Reconnect
Disconnect a Service: Click Disconnect → Confirm Disconnecting a service from Doe
  • Connection revoked immediately
  • OAuth: Service receives revocation notification
  • API Key: Encrypted credentials deleted permanently
Reconnect: Click Reconnect next to failed/expired services → Follow connection flow → Old connection replaced

Security

Credential Protection: All API keys and credentials are encrypted using AES-256-CBC (bank-level encryption) before storage. Your credentials are never stored in plain text, never logged, and never exposed in error messages. For OAuth connections, Doe never sees your password - you authenticate directly with the service. Data Storage: Doe does not store your raw data. Query results are cached temporarily (up to 24 hours) for performance, then deleted. Only connection metadata and audit logs are retained for security monitoring. Access Control: Your connections are only accessible to your organization members. Disconnect any service instantly to revoke access immediately. Compliance: SOC 2 Type II certified, GDPR compliant, HIPAA ready (Enterprise)
